Due to Ram temple rush, police advise devotees to avoid Ayodhya

The consecration of the new Ram Lalla idol one day prior has drawn immense crowds, prompting traffic diversions and a temporary halt for pedestrians on pilgrimage.

Lucknow: The Barabanki police have released a warning advising people to avoid going to Ayodhya on Tuesday due, to a number of devotees gathering at the inaugurated Ram temple. The temple opened its doors to the public on Tuesday after the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol a day

To manage the increased number of visitors traffic heading towards Ayodhya has been redirected from Barabanki, which's 30 km away from Lucknow. Furthermore pedestrians who are on pilgrimage have been asked to pause their journey as per the instructions given by the police.

The Barabanki police stated in a communication shared on X "Considering the gathering of devotees at Ayodhya dham we kindly request them not to visit today." The advisory also stressed that all traffic bound for Ayodhya is being diverted and pedestrians on pilgrimage are advised to stop their journey.

The day when the temple welcomed the general public witnessed a turnout of devotees, in Ayodhya.
