Angry about "police carelessness" in handling nephew's death case, K'taka BJP MLA

Davanagere (The Hawk): M.P. Renukacharya, a BJP MLA for Karnataka, expressed his displeasure over the police department's "negligence" in handling the case involving the murder of his nephew Chandrashekar on Saturday.

"What will be the plight of common men if the son of MLA (Renukacharya refers to his nephew as his son) cannot be provided protection?" stated Renukacharya.

On Thursday, his nephew Chandrashekar's decaying body was pulled from a canal.

The police department argued that the car's excessive speed was what caused the event to occur. While Chandrashekar's kidnapping and murder were under suspicion.

Renukacharya told reporters that the murder was pre-planned. My son was horribly murdered and tormented. The police department's carelessness is very obvious.

"Drone cameras have been employed by my party's workers and supporters. The automobile has been located. All of this is being done by residents of my district. Nothing was done by the police. People are talking about it, not me," he continued.

If the soul of the late Chandrashekar is to rest in peace, the case's inquiry must be handled properly. He claimed Chandrashekar was taking over as my replacement in the Honnali assembly constituency.

One Kiran was with Chandrashekar, our supporters, according to Renukacharya. The truth must be revealed. I'm keeping my cool. Don't try to rile me up.

I received threats to my life a year ago. I had discussed it with the local police. They ought to have looked into the situation. There should have been more security. No security was provided, he accused the police force.

According to Renukacharya, the criminals killed his nephew elsewhere and put his body along with the automobile into the canal.

Furthermore, according to Renukacharya, his nephew's hands were restrained. Employees of the BJP have also voiced their discontent with how the police department has handled the case. Further inquiry has been launched by the police.

On Sunday, Chandrashekar, 24, went missing. He may have been kidnapped, it was thought.

On November 3, after receiving information from Renukacharya's supporters, the police discovered Chandrashekar's automobile in the canal. The body of the young man was discovered after the crane lifted the car.
