New Delhi: It was announced on Sunday that Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has recalled paperwork pertaining to many ongoing infrastructure projects, claiming "inaction" on the side of the municipal government.
They claimed that since May of last year, the Delhi government's Home Department, led by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, has kept 78 such proposals from various agencies pending despite the recommendations of a committee to remove "unauthorised religious structures" that have delayed several key infrastructure projects.
Neither the Delhi government nor the ruling Aam Aadmi Party responded immediately to the news.—Inputs from Agencies
