New Delhi (The Hawk): Twelve policemen from the Special Cell of the Delhi Police who investigated the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala have been assigned 'Y' level security protection.
Sanjay Arora, commissioner of the Delhi Police, authorised the provision of protection for 12 officers, including Special Commissioner of Police H.G.S. Dhaliwal and Deputy Commissioners of Police, Special Cell, Manishi Chandra and Rajeev Ranjan.
An official stated that an armed police commando will be stationed 24/7 alongside ACsP Lalit Negi, Hridya Bhushan, Ved Prakash, Rahul Vikram, and Inspectors Sunil Kumar, Vikram Dahiya, Nishant Dahiya, and Vinod Kumar.
Suman Nalwa, the spokesperson for Delhi Police, confirmed the situation by stating that category 'Y' security will be deployed for 24 hours.
On social media, accomplices of Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Harvinder Rinda made a threat on the Special Cell operatives.
