New Delhi (The Hawk): The Delhi Police's Special Cell has made an arrest in Bengaluru of a guy who killed a distant relative who was a rival for the affections of a woman who was related to both of them in order to clear the way for his marriage to her, according to an official.
Assailant Abu Usman alias Abu Usama was hiding in Bengaluru after perpetrating the murder in July of this year, according to DCP, Special Cell, Pramod Kushwaha. A reward of Rs 25,000 had been set up for his capture.
The accused was having an affair with a woman from his hometown who also happened to be a distant relative of the dead Anwarul Haque, who had also expressed interest in marrying the woman. Usama grew angry at Haque as a result, and he killed him.
Kushwaha claimed that ACP Lalit Mohan Negi had been gathering information regarding the accused after receiving a tip. On December 11, Bengaluru police arrested the suspect near the Vinayak Theater.
According to the official, a case and criminal conspiracy were filed after Haque was fatally stabbed on July 31 in the area of Sherpur Chowk, Khajuri Khas.
Investigation revealed that on July 31, Haque had visited a store in Sherpur Chowk after receiving a call from Usama.
